Scott has officially retired as of January 2025, and handed the reigns over to his daughter Caylee, and son-in-law August. It is important to know that both Caylee & August have been in the shop with Scott since the beginning years. Everything they’ve learned, is from Scott, so as always our goal remains to same. To exceed your expectations; both with the repair, and customer service.
Caylee started at Scotts’ in high school, getting off the bus at the shop every day. She started answering the phones, and writing checks for parts, while doing her homework at the front desk. Her father insisted she still went to college and get a degree. She went to went to RIT and got a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice, graduating in 2013. After graduation, she learned how to write estimates, and took that off her fathers plate. Scott continued to grow his business in the shop, training the technicians he had and working himself. Caylee's step mom, Heidi, soon gave her more and more responsibilities, learning the business at a different level. Around 2017, she taught Caylee everything she needed to know, so she took it from there. From 2021-2023, the shop started getting busier and Caylee soon realized that doing everything at the front end of a body shop is not a one man, or woman, job. At the end of 2023, Caylee hired her first office assistant. Caylee LOVES this industry. She loves giving customers back their car after a life-changing accident, or a small ding that was just bothering them. She loves making sure her technicians are happy, and has what they need to perform proper repairs on every vehicle. Most importantly, she loves to make sure her customers are always satisfied with the outcome of their services. She purchased half the business from her father Scott in January of 2022, and now her husband has the other half as of 2025. We love what we do, and we do it for you!
August started at the shop in 2007, a year after Scott opened it. He needed a job, and Caylee told him to “go down to our new body shop and talk to my dad!”. He hired August on the spot, and he started working as a detailer. Soon later, Scott taught him how to do body work, how to prime, how to prep, and then how to paint. He can do every position in the shop, which makes him the perfect pair with Caylee, as she knows the front end. August is an exceptional painter, and has done many custom paint jobs here. He could spend hours finessing body panels until they are perfectly straight, better than how they come from the factory. He is a wonderful technician, and now a rightful owner of the shop. If they’re lucky, there son Leo will be the third generation for Scotts Auto Fixit.
